Understand the decision
Connect the two services
Airport assistance and the taxi are often separate services. Confirm who accompanies the passenger from baggage claim to the rank or booked vehicle and where the driver may wait.
Confirm vehicle fit
Give wheelchair dimensions, whether the passenger remains seated, and the number of companions and bags. Ask about ramp or lift, restraint system and available headroom before confirming.
Plan a safe fallback
Save the operator contact and airport assistance desk. If the assigned vehicle does not fit, remain in an accessible staffed area while a suitable replacement is arranged.

Common questions
Does airport assistance include the taxi ride?
Usually these are separate arrangements. Ask the airport and operator to confirm the handover in advance.
Can any accessible taxi carry every wheelchair?
No. Vehicle dimensions and restraint systems vary. Confirm compatibility with the actual chair and passenger before travel.
