Use an official pickup

At airports and stations, follow the signs and ignore anyone offering a ride away from the managed queue.

Identify the vehicle

Match the plate, model, local licence and, for an app booking, the driver profile.

Confirm the price or meter

Check that the meter starts correctly or that the quote matches the booking. Ask whether tolls and surcharges are included.

Protect your information

Do not share a booking PIN until you have identified the correct vehicle. Share only what is needed for the journey.

Keep a record

Retain the receipt or booking history. For a dispute, record the time, plate, route and amount.

Stay comfortably in control during the journey

Sit where you feel comfortable, fasten your seat belt and keep your phone and essential belongings accessible. You can follow the route for orientation, while allowing for legitimate diversions. If the destination or stopping point changes, say so clearly and make sure any price consequence is understood before continuing.

If the ride does not go as expected

Separate an ordinary service problem from an immediate danger. For a fare or service dispute, avoid escalating the situation in the vehicle; keep the receipt or app record and contact the operator or transport authority afterward. If you feel threatened, ask to stop in a safe, busy place and contact local emergency services.
