Understand the decision
Before landing
Save the terminal name, accommodation address and official airport transport page offline. Check whether street taxis and app pickups use different zones; a pin on a map is not always the authorised pickup point.
At arrivals
Stay inside until you understand the signs. Ignore unsolicited approaches and walk to the signed rank or the exact app zone. Match the licence plate and driver details for a booked ride.
Before moving
Ask whether the fare is metered, regulated flat-rate or pre-agreed. Confirm tolls, airport surcharges, card acceptance and receipt availability. Keep a screenshot or rank ticket.

Common questions
Should I accept a driver inside arrivals?
Use only the process described by the airport or local authority. Unsolicited offers away from the signed rank are a warning sign.
Are app pickups at the taxi rank?
Not necessarily. Many airports separate taxi ranks, private transfers and app pickup zones, so follow the airport’s current instructions.
